It is the duel of the giants in the South Korean League of Legends. With star player Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, T1 will meet the strengthened opponent Gen.G. The final of the Spring Playoffs 2020 will start on Saturday morning at 10am.
Will Faker’s big trophy collection get the next title? The South Korean superstar, who will turn 24 on May 7, can win his ninth title with T1 in the LCK by winning at the weekend. Last year he already snatched the victory in both the show jumping and the summer split.
Hard rock in the final
However, the way to the next milestone will be difficult, because the opponent Gen.G shows himself this year washed with all the water. “Gen.G is our toughest opponent this season,” says Faker in an interview with invenglobal. Accordingly, Saturday will see the biggest duel that South Korea currently has to offer in LoL.

T1 qualified for the Grand Final of the LCK with a commanding 3:1 victory in the playoff semi-final against DragonX. Final opponent Gen.G was already seeded as a finalist due to winning the Regular Season. The team around the former T1-younger Kim “Clid” Tae-min finished with a 14:4 balance, equal with T1 and DragonX. However, the direct comparison spoke for Gen.G. The final takes place offline in the LoL-Park of Seoul.

Due to the Corona pandemic there will be no spectators.
Faker broke another record in March. He is the first player of LCK to score over 2,000 kills in his career. His contract with T1 currently runs until 2022, and Faker is now also a shareholder in the traditional organisation.
