The already huge Sim Settlements 2 mod for Fallout 4 will soon get new quests and even a fresh faction thanks to an update.
Not happy with Fallout 76 to date? Then the “Sim Settlements 2” mod for Fallout 4 might be just the thing for you! Because the fan project will soon receive the big “Gunner Outbreak” update, which will finally make it a true add-on.
A first taste of the quality of the mod can be seen in this trailer:
Fresh faction and fully dubbed quests
The Sim Settlements 2 mod was released in 2020 and made fans of the wasteland shine. This is because the additional content, described by the creators as a “city-building simulator”, gives you numerous additional hours of play and is to be gradually expanded in the future.
Probably the biggest incentive for installing the mod: Sim Settlements 2 should finally give you a reason to rebuild the Commonwealth. Because as fun as creative building is in Fallout 4, it hardly had any real added value, and at some point it even annoyed some players.
The mod takes a more clever approach to the topic and links our building projects to a fresh main story. We can recruit unique NPCs for our settlement, who even provide us with side quests set to music. We also have to train the settlers in combat so they can help defend us.
A total of over 120 building designs are available. And with the upcoming update “Gunner Outbreak” at the latest, the scope of the mod should be reminiscent of a real addon.
What’s in the Part 2 update?
As the trailer above already shows: The Gunners, already known from the main game, are now a fully fleshed out faction and the main story continues with a whole slew of fresh quests. This also means that, as a special highlight, you can build your very own faction headquarters from scratch.
Once again, you can look forward to a very high-quality soundtrack for the quests by mod standards. The creators are also integrating new disease effects into the game. Further insights into the upcoming content update can also be found on the mod’s official website.
The Gunner Outbreak update is scheduled for release in autumn 2021. In addition to the Sim Settlements 2 mod, you will also need the official Automatron DLC on your computer to ensure that everything runs smoothly
