Stronghold Warlords is getting a free content update with version 1.6, which includes a new AI enemy called Kublai Khan, three new maps to battle, new Mongolian voice acting and achievements. The free update was released at the same time as the Mongol Empire Campaign DLCs.

The DLC also includes six missions in the historical campaign, two new Warlods and also new achievements. In the almost ten-minute-long gameplay video, the new content is presented.

In many ways, Warlords is a classic Stronghold, in which we build castles, defend them against enemies and finally storm the enemy fortifications. Warlords aims to be even more of an economic simulation than its predecessors and introduces new production chains. The most important innovation, however, are the warlords. These mini AIs control their own sectors on the map and we can bring them over to our side with diplomacy points in order to get passive bonuses and give them orders.
