There are also other planned improvements “in the pipeline”.
Final Release
When will CoD Vanguard be released
Release date of Call of Duty Vanguard is November 5, 2021, simultaneously on all platforms – i.e. PS5, PC, PS4, Xbox Series X and S, and Xbox One. The PC version will be released via Battle.net, as we are used to from Warzone, Cold War and MW.
The portal ModernWarzone also reports that the first season will start on 23 November 2021, but this has not yet been officially confirmed. Here you can see the very first scenes from Vanguard:
Already running: CoD Vanguard alpha
At first, a PlayStation-exclusive alpha ran for Vanguard. In this play-on phase, the new multiplayer mode Champion Hill was playable for the first time.
- Alpha start: Friday, 27 August 7 pm
- Alpha End: Sunday, August 29 7pm
What’s the deal with the new Champion Hill Mode
A new mode called Champion Hill was playable in the alpha. In it, eight teams (in the alpha only duos or trios) compete against each other in several arenas according to the classic Battle Royale principle. Each squad has a limited number of lives – if you lose all of them, you’re out.
All players start with the same loadout and must first earn better equipment. For example, by collecting cash or capturing it from fallen enemies. In the purchase rounds, which alternate with combat rounds, you then acquire more powerful weapons or killstreaks.
This mode is intended to replace the previous Gunfight Mode, which was introduced with Modern Warfare 2019. You can get an impression in the gameplay trailer:
When will Vanguard arrive in Warzone?
Of course Vanguard, like its predecessors, will be integrated into CoD Warzone at release on November 5. New weapons, operators and even a whole new map have already been confirmed.
And a solution is also in sight for the cheater hordes, Warzone’s biggest problem in 2021! All in all, Vanguard could be the best news for Warzone players since release.
