Building a perfect circle in the block game Minecraft is actually physically impossible. But one player outsmarted the system.
Extra, extra! Put down your work and bow before this unprecedented sight! It’s … a circle! All right, not just any circle. A circle that shouldn’t even exist, because it was created in what is arguably the world’s squarest game: Minecraft.
A player has outsmarted the rules of the world and shows in his video how he has built the impossible. By the way, the video currently has a cool 13 million views.
How it worked
The perfectly round pool was created in vanilla Minecraft, i.e. completely without mods or CC. In the video, Youtuber Mysticat shows several attempts in which he makes use of the rules of lorries and armour stands:
The solution requires a bit (and by that we mean a lot) of knowledge in Minecraft physics and console commands. But the short version: you place a sand block on an armour stand and let new stands spawn at a certain distance with blocks that clip into each other, then rotate them and make the armour stands invisible and indestructible.
Mysticat deals with various Minecraft mysteries and after his circle project also ventured into a perfect sphere in vanilla Minecraft:
What do you think of the experiment? Exciting or just a circle in the end? What was your coolest Minecraft experiment? Let us know in the comments!
