It’s done! Atlanta FaZe takes the title at the 2021 CDL Championship, capping off an already successful season with the win.
Atlanta FaZe is the undisputed number 1 in the Call of Duty League 2021! The team around the veterans Tyler “Abezy” Pharris, Alec “Arcitys” Sanderson and Chris “Simp” Lehr took the title at the Championship and crowned an already successful CDL season.
In a thrilling final, FaZe beat Toronto Ultra 5-3. However, the opponents did not make it too easy for the winners.
Fought Final with Happy End
Toronte showed right from the start why they were in the final of the championship, taking a 1-0 lead in the first round. FaZe didn’t let that rattle them, however, and then went on a run of three straight match wins.
Although Toronto came back again, Simp and Co. did not relinquish their lead and finally deservedly took the title.

Title for the most successful team of the season
Over the entire season in 2021, Atlanta had already dominated FaZe, putting together one of the best CDL seasons in history. Winning a total of three out of five Major titles, they clearly distanced themselves from the competition in the league. Even setbacks like the 5th Major, when the team struggled with mental and physical issues, the roster put it away and came back stronger than ever at the Championship.
The success shows that FaZe is one of the pillars of the scene. We’re excited to see what’s in store for 2022.
