This year most FIFA 22 ratings are published by the clubs. Manchester City allowed themselves a little joke in the process.

The FIFA community is currently very keen to know the values of all FUT players. New this year: Not EA Sports publishes the values, but the clubs in a video, in which the players should react to their own card. Kyle Walker was taken for a ride in the process.

But what exactly happened when the ratings were released and who did Manchester City prank?

Earlier in the video, Kevin de Bruyne and Phil Foden were allowed to take a look at right-back Kyle Walker’s new FIFA 22 gold card.

This card, however, had a tempo value of only 78 points. Kevin didn’t fall for it and asked directly, “It’s a joke, right?” and then wanted to paw the defender, “Can we put that on his locker?”. So they were trying to tease Kyle Walker with his card in the locker room.

Kyle Walker reacts to his FUT 22 card

When right-back Walker sees his 78 pace card, he gets angry and throws the card straight into the bin.

After the situation is resolved, he is visibly relieved and asks hopefully if he will get a better card than 85 GES, then. The answer, unfortunately, is no, because only his pace score was lowered from 92 points to 78. At least the ManCity player got a dribbling upgrade by one point. All other values remain unchanged.

FIFA 22 community falls for prank

While the video was still running, the community was busy tweeting away at it, wondering about the mega downgrade of Kyle Walker’s pace value.

The joy of the resolution, however, was at least as good.

In the end, this prank probably ensured that there isn’t a person left who doesn’t know the Manchester City right-back’s Gold Card.
