Build-up fans should keep an eye on Timberborn – but not because of the beavers

Timberborn game

The biggest feature of Timberborn pales in comparison to its other strengths. Because the build-up strategy game is already more convincing than many competitors in the Early Access test.

The life of a beaver is simple, as it only needs three things for its happiness: food, wood and above all water! The latter in particular is an incredibly cool thing. Water can be drunk, channelled and, of course, dammed up! In this way, one could control fertility! And gain energy! And flood areas! And drain! And so on.

These were probably the central thoughts when the team at Mechanstry decided on a … well, a beaver setting when developing the city-building simulation Timberborn. You build the most fantastic settlements for your cuddly, furry subjects with broad tails, have to procure food and, of course, keep the water flowing. From 15 September, you can take over the sponsorship of a beaver city on Steam, GOG.com and the Epic Store, initially in Early Access for the price of 25 euros.
