The Skincare range by Twitch streamer Valkyrae has been discontinued. The reason for this was a huge shitstorm from the community.

The controversial skincare range RFLCT by Twitch streamer Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter is no longer available after just a few weeks. However, it’s not because it’s already sold out due to high demand: After a shitstorm, the products were taken offline on Saturday and the RFLCT project was terminated.

Do gamers need special skin care? Valkyrae announced on 19 October that it had released a skincare line with RFLCT umbrella company Ideavation Labs. This should protect the skin against the blue light rays from monitors. However, it is not known whether the light is actually harmful at all – a shitstorm and rip-off accusations followed at the same time.

The official homepage of RFLCT is now offline and the social media channels no longer exist either. Only a closing text welcomes the visitors: RFLCT is no longer available. The company has decided to go new ways and end the brand.
