Upcoming DLCs and free updates for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – we gather all the info on the Seasons.
After the release, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is far from over. Ubisoft reveals further plans for the Viking open-world game: Two major paid DLCs have already been released, as well as a host of patches and the Discovery Tour. But even those who don’t own a Season Pass will get free new content on a regular basis.
We clarify what you can already buy, what you can expect for free and when you can expect the respective updates and DLCs.
Roadmap to AC Valhalla: What’s in it?
Free Seasons for AC Valhalla
Valhalla regularly receives free updates containing seasonal content for all players. They are automatically available in the game after downloading the respective patch. In the first official roadmap, four seasons were planned, each lasting about three months. Four new seasons with new content could also follow in 2022.

What else is happening in AC Valhalla in 2021?
Oskoeira Event
According to the new roadmap, another spooky event will take place from 11 November to 2 December 2021, which is all about the Wild Hunt (called Oskoeira in Scandinavia). What exactly it will be about is not yet known. However, data miners who have taken a closer look at the game files claim that, among other things, you will enter the realm of the dead and earn a scythe as a weapon and a bone skin for your raven.
It all sounds more like fantasy than real history. How much realism is there in AC Valhalla?
More planned updates: The roadmap already shows the dates for the next two Title Updates. Title Update 1.4.0 will be released on 9 November, Update 1.4.1 will follow in December. Also from 9 November, you can experience the free activity “Tombs of the Fallen” with Eivor. What exactly this DLC contains is not yet clear. On Twitter, there is only this teaser, which is explicitly not meant to spoil the surprise – and the English pun hints at runes as content.
How keen is your eye? Tombs of the Fallen arrive on November 9, bringing new challenges to places you may have already been…

What you can play now
A bonus mission and two big DLCs in the Season Pass
Both expansions are in the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Season Pass. If you own the Gold or Ultimate Edition, you will get them automatically. Alternatively, you can purchase the Season Pass for around 40 euros. By the way, for every 100 Ubisoft points you collect while playing, you can get a 20 percent discount in the Ubisoft Store.
The following DLCs and updates have already been released. With the Season Pass you automatically receive full access, the Discovery Tour is free for all game owners.
Wrath of the Druids
What’s in it? It’s off to Ireland, where Eivor becomes involved with the Druidic cult of Danu. Their followers represent a new kind of enemy in the DLC, you can see them in the trailer embedded above.
Besides beating up druids, there is more to do: Eivor conquers Irish ring fortresses and interferes in the trade centre of Dublin. The developers also promise a dark atmosphere: the add-on will introduce you to the darker side of Celtic mythology.
The Siege of Paris
What’s inside. As the name suggests, this time Eivor finds himself in the Frank(en)reich. Here, a fierce war is raging, in which your Viking assassin is getting involved. You are fighting against the troops of Charles III – and you are among those besieging Paris.
Bonus mission for launch
An additional mission, “The Legend of Beowulf”, was already playable at release. We find out whether the half-hour-long adventure around the legendary figure is worth it.
Discovery Tour
Like its predecessors, Valhalla gets a historical discovery tour across England and Norway. You explore the open world like a kind of interactive museum, take part in tours and learn all kinds of things about the country, culture and events of this era.
