Since 8 December you can let off steam in CoD Warzone with the weapons from Vanguard on the Pacific map Caldera. But which new weapon is now the best for the Battle Royale? After all, Patch 1.49 was not long in coming and has done a lot of work on the current weapons.
Many have been marginally toned down so that previously dominant weapons like the PPSH-41 do not make the selection too boring. Furthermore, the magazine capacities of some weapons have been increased to make them competitive for the Battle Royale mode.
And further balancing patches have already been announced for the near future. Therefore, it cannot be ruled out that we might have to revisit and revise this article as soon as new patches are released. However, you can find out which weapons you should currently use in Warzone from the following list.
The four best Vanguard weapons in CoD Warzone
BAR – Assault Rifle
If you’ve been playing Warzone for the past few days, you’ve probably been whacked by this weapon a few times. The BAR has earned its place in the current meta. By the way, if you haven’t levelled the BAR yet, there’s a useful blueprint at level 24 in the Battle Pass.
What makes the BAR so good? Fully equipped, you can take out enemies with four or five hits. Without armour, you only need two chest hits. The somewhat slow rate of fire is compensated for by the enormously long range. That’s why you should have a fast SMG equipped as a sidearm, at best via Berserker Perk, in case of close combat.
Recommendation for attachments: Primarily we provide less recoil, more range and a larger magazine. Above all, the sniper calibre gives the weapon its strength. With the muzzle attachment, you have to decide which one suits your style of play better. The silencer ensures that you are not marked on the minimap. If you can do without it, the F8 stabilisation offers even more precision and control.

Robot (Automaton) – Assault Rifle
The robot is Vanguard’s all-rounder and can best be compared to the Krig 6. If the STG44 has too much recoil for you at longer distances, your choice should therefore fall on this assault rifle.
What makes the robots so good? If you don’t want to run after the new meta after every balance patch or don’t want to bring the complete arsenal of weapons from Warzone to the maximum level, this all-rounder assault rifle is your best friend. Although it doesn’t play in the top league in terms of stats, it makes up for this with its beginner-friendly handling.
Recommendation for attachments: With the following attachments we provide more precision, a longer range and a larger magazine. This turns the robot into a deadly assault rifle that has no significant recoil even at long range

PPSH-41 – SMG
Even after the nerfs from patch 1.49, the PPSH-41 is extremely strong, but now shares first place with the MP-40. The Owen Gun is another strong alternative, but it falls through due to the limited field of view, due to the powerful magazine.
What makes the PPSH-41 so good? The symbiosis of high rate of fire and large magazine makes this SMG so dangerous. At short and medium distances, you can deal out a lot of damage. Misses are more forgiving because of the high rate of fire, as long as the next bullets hit their target.
Recommendation for attachments: In our loadout, we clearly use this SMG as a sidearm, which is why the Berserker perk is required. Therefore, we concentrate on improving the fire rate, speed and magazine capacity of the attachments

Type 99 – Sniper Rifle
Naturally, no weapon ranking for Warzone is complete without a sniper rifle. However, this particular loadout has it all. The Type 99 was never the star among the sniper rifles in Vanguard, which is why its place in this list seems unusual at first. But with the following attachments, the Type-99 outshines other sniper rifles like the Kar98.
What makes the Type-99 so good? YouTuber TrueGameData found out in one of his latest videos that since the last patch, this sniper rifle can take down an opponent with only one chest hit. In return, speed and handling are extremely weak, making the Type-99 clearly suitable for quiet situations in which you take out enemies from a long distance. Thus, despite the strength of this rifle, there is a certain balance. Nevertheless, you should keep an eye on the patch notes, as a nerf is not unlikely.
Recommendation for attachments: The combination of barrel, magazine and the Extra Vital ensure that you wound enemies with only one shot. With the remaining attachments you are more free in your choice. However, we prefer to focus on the ADS speed and handling to make the Crusher a little more manageable.

Secret tip from the Battle Pass
As the YouTuber (KRNG-Hero) found out in one of his latest videos, the Battle Pass at level 45 includes an extremely powerful blueprint for the MP-40. Namely, this variant of the MP-40 space problems has the Extra Vital. Which extends the critical headshot damage to the upper torso. This is not normally available to the MP-40, which is what makes this blueprint so strong.
Whether this is a bug or Activision is really taking a step towards Pay2Win with this is not yet known.
