Could Bully 2 actually become reality? According to various sources, there will soon be new information about it. We bring you up to date on the current state of affairs.

Next to GTA or Red Dead Redemption, it’s easy to forget that developer Rockstar Games also has other games to show. For example, Bully: The Lap of Honour, which was first released in 2008. Since then, however, fans have been waiting impatiently for the sequel Bully 2, for which there are now new rumours.

We tell you where the rumours about Bully 2 come from and whether fans should really hope for a sequel. After all, it’s not the first time that speculations about new Rockstar games have circulated through the net and caused a stir.

Will Bully 2 be announced soon?

What do the new rumours say? According to established industry insider Tom Henderson, an announcement from Rockstar Games should have surprised us at the 2021 Game Awards. Specifically, Bully 2 was supposedly going to be shown, according to Henderson, playable footage was already shown to selected people in the week leading up to the event.

Interestingly, in the run-up to the Game Awards 2021, the Rockstar news channel Rafik had already promised a big announcement by Rockstar on Twitter, which was supposed to conciliate disappointed fans. Of course, many suspected that there would finally be news about GTA 6 – but Rockstar was ultimately not to be involved in the Game Awards.

In this regard, it is also exciting that tweets from editors of the (GameInformer) clearly hint at something about Bully 2. The posts have since disappeared from Twitter and the games portal’s Alex van Aken attempted to deny afterwards that a brew about Bully 2 was simmering.

With these developments in mind, it’s natural to assume that something could happen to Bully 2 in the foreseeable future.

Why fans shouldn’t rejoice too soon
The source is considered credible: In recent years, Tom Henderson has built a reputation as a reliable and credible industry insider. Especially in the areas of Call of Duty and Battlefield, his forecasts and previously shared information often hit the mark.

In the meantime, Henderson also seems to have found a way in at Rockstar Games. In recent months, he has repeatedly shared insights into the development of GTA 6 – although this potential information is currently difficult or impossible to verify. But the fact that Henderson now knows about possible news on Bully 2 is of course anything but absurd.

What could happen at GameInformer
: It is of course striking that GameInformer independently of and parallel to Henderson promised something about Bully 2 – but afterwards tried to cover the tracks. It is quite possible that this was done on the advice of publisher Take-Two and developer Rockstar Games and that Alex van Aken’s denial is to be understood as damage limitation.

But it would also not be completely out of the question that GameInformer, for example, is planning a report on the possible development and discontinuation of Bully 2. Because let’s remember: already in 2019, rumours surfaced that Rockstar Games was working on a sequel to Bully in 2008 and pulled the plug on it again in 2013. However, this rumour was never officially confirmed:
