Earlier this year, we reported on an upcoming LEGO set for Sonic the Hedgehog. Now the Greenhill Zone and its inhabitants seem to be ready for sale. Over the weekend, Reddit user NazoTheVengefulOne published a leaked image of what appears to be the final design of the LEGO Greenhill Zone.

Taste is supposedly a matter of debate and beauty is actually in the eye of the beholder. This also applies to the apparently final concept of the Sonic the Hedgehog LEGO set, which originally came from the LEGO Ideas user (toastergrl). While the basic idea of the Greenhill Zone has been retained, it is the Doctor Eggman figure in particular that is causing a stir. Especially the head of the iconic villain looks a bit misshapen.

LEGO Ideas offers users the opportunity to create their own LEGO concepts and take part in competitions. With a lot of artistic skill and a good portion of luck, it can even come to a cooperation with the Danish company. This is what happened toastergrl, whose Greenhill Zone concept is due to be released next spring, according to the site Promobricks.

For its 30th anniversary, the Danish company is immortalising Sonic the Hedgehog in block form for the first time. With this, the Danish company is already joining other franchises, such as Minecraft. SEGA also unveiled the upcoming game Sonic Frontiers.
