On Tuesday we told you about the new additions to the Xbox Game Pass. Two of the titles are from indie publisher Annapurna Interactive. We present the sci-fi adventure game Outer Wilds and the hand-illustrated puzzle game Gorgoa in more detail.
The acclaimed first-person space simulator Outer Wilds comes from Mobius Digital and has been available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One since 2019. Players take on the role of a fresh recruit from Outer Wilds Ventures. This is a young space programme that wants to explore the vastness of space. At the same time, they are trying to find a solution to the time loop in which the entire universe is trapped. Equipped with all kinds of useful objects, you set off on a fascinating journey through space. Alien planets, alien writings to decipher, mysterious ruins and much more await you. Please note that the DLC Echoes of the Eye is not included in the Xbox Game Pass.
The second title is the innovative puzzle game Gorgoa. It was developed and drawn by Jason Roberts, the man behind the studio Buried Signal. The indie title was released in 2017 and has since been available for PC, smartphones, Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Gorgoa revolutionises the puzzle genre as you uncover different layers of illustrations to reveal their stories. Experience a touching narrative about life as you challenge your grey matter once again.
Annapurna Interactive has been on a mission to publish personal experiences for all since its inception in 2016. Notable titles in the publisher’s portfolio also include What Remains of Edith Finch, A Memoir Blue, Maquette and Gone Home.
