In a few weeks, the new football simulation UFL officially reveals its first official gameplay. Chelsea striker and ambassador Romelu Lukaku can already be seen.

A possible new FIFA competitor is knocking on the door. On 27 January, the first official gameplay trailer of the football simulation UFL will go online worldwide. Ahead of the release of the video game’s content, developer Strikerz Inc. has already shown a behind-the-scenes look at the game.

With advanced recording technology, motion capturing and the Unreal Engine, UFL is set to be an “unprecedented football game”. In the explanatory video by the development team, it is shown that even the simplest movements are recorded and edited for several hours to ensure smooth gameplay.

Furthermore, Romelu Lukaku has been confirmed as the ambassador of the game since 28 December. The Belgian striker of Chelsea FC can already be seen animated in a short clip as he kicks a penalty. Based on the few seconds, you can see realistic graphics paired with fluid animation.

“Graphics and gameplay are equally important,” explains managing director Eugene Nashilov in the Twitter comments. In addition, the short clip should not be weighed in the balance because it “does not reflect the final quality”, says Nashilov.

The free-to-play title will be playable on all major platforms. An official release date has yet to be announced. The football game will not contain any microtransactions, as is the case with industry leader FIFA, for example.
