Fortnite has changed some weapon values with the new update. What this now means for the meta, you can find out here,

In the latest Fortnite update, some weapons have been changed. However, these innovations have a big impact on the meta.

Back to the double barreled shotgun?

Since the beginning of the third chapter many players:inside use the assault rifles. Especially the high rate of fire together with the damage of the weapons are a great advantage and are also good for destroying buildings. But Epic Games seems to have a different plan for its Battle Royale. With the latest update, the weapons MK7, Stinger SMG and the Tac Shotgun have been edited.

The damage value of the MK7 Assault Rifle has been reduced by one in every version, up to Mystic level. The Stinger now has even two damage points less in all levels. The Tac shotgun, however, has been improved. It now takes 2 seconds less to reload the weapon.

These changes will have a big impact on the weapon meta in Fortnite. It is likely that many players will now opt for two shotguns again instead of using the assault rifles. So it’s very likely that a meta from the past, the double shotgun meta, will return.
