The sequel to 2017’s Yooka-Laylee also relies on the premise of exploring numerous jump 'n’ run areas in an open colorful fantasy world. Fans of classic arcade Nitendo games like Donkey Kong, Mario, and Banjo-Kazooie should definitely pick it up! With your hero Laylee, you’ll have to collect feathers and other collectibles and defeat your nemesis Capital B. Both the music, art style, fun gameplay well ported from the Switch, and witty storytelling style are fun and a perfect free title from Epic Games for in between.
The 2.5D platforming levels are nicely varied and can even be walked in two different versions with their own special features and difficulties. Similar to the B-Sides in Celeste.
