Indie publisher Microids announced this evening that Syberia: The World Before will be released for PC in March. A release for consoles will follow later in the year.

Two destinies are interwoven through the course of the story. A time difference of almost 70 years tells a story about two women. One is about 17-year-old Dana Roze, who lives in the fictional state of Vaghen in 1937. She actually wants to establish herself as a star pianist, but the brown shadow is spreading across Europe. The Second World War is imminent.
The second protagonist in Syberia: The World Before is Kate Walker, who lives in 2004. She is a forced labourer in a salt mine located in the taiga. In a moment of great tragedy, a chance opens up for Kate to go in search of her identity.

Within the game, we are immersed in both storylines and must uncover the mysteries of both decades. Tricky puzzles and riddles must be solved in the point-and-click adventure game to delve deeper into the story.
Syberia: The World Before is the fourth part of a successful video game series penned by Belgian author Benoît Sokal. He had planned to end the story about the heroine Kate Walker after the second part. But Microids extended the story by two more parts so far. Last spring, Sokal died in the course of a long illness.

On 18 March 2022, Syberia: The World Before will be released for the PC. A release for consoles is planned later in the year. Another project of the publisher is the crime title Agatha Christie – Hercule Poirot:The First Cases.
