In Dying Light 2 you can use a weapon that reminds us of the Mantis Blades from Cyberpunk 2077. We tell you where you can get the “Cyber Hands 2177” from.

As an open world game, Dying Light 2 naturally has a lot of Easter Eggs to offer. And some of them even bring gameplay advantages. For example, a weapon that can be understood as a reference to Cyberpunk 2077 and imitates the infamous Mantis Blades.

We tell you how to get the Cyber Hands 2177 and what you have to keep in mind. You can find all our other guides and help for Dying Light 2 in our overview:

Cyberpunk weapon as Easter Egg in Dying Light 2

What kind of weapon is meant?

The Cyber Hands 2177 are – obviously – an allusion to Cyberpunk 2077. You won’t find the weapon directly, but a blueprint for it. You can make the Cyber Hands 2177 as often as you like, as long as you have enough resources.

The Cyber Hands 2177 are, of course, meant to be reminiscent of the Mantis Blades from Cyberpunk 2077: augmentations that allow V to extend deadly melee blades from their arms. The weapon in Dying Light 2 isn’t quite so cyberpunk, it’s just brass knuckles with a blade attachment.

How to find the blueprint for Cyber Hands 2177

To find the blueprint for the cyberpunk weapon in Dying Light 2, proceed as follows:

Go to the roof of the VNC Tower

  • The roof of the building is only accessible during the main story
  • If you have already passed this point of the story, you can easily take the lift up in the lobby.
  • The weapon itself is not on the roof of the VNC Tower, you have to reach other buildings. Jump off the VNC Tower and use your glider to reach the next building
  • The weapon itself is not on the roof of the VNC Tower.
  • Sail from roof to roof
  • Once you reach the roof of the VNC Tower, stand on the crates to the right of the container, where there is usually loot waiting for you.
  • Now jump off and sail to the building with dropped military supplies.
  • Climb onto the heater fan to the right of the crate and you should see the next building with the Office Plaza inscription in front of you.
  • On the third building, where you are now, you will meet a masked person called The Liquidator. Speak to him.
  • After the conversation the Liquidator has disappeared, at his campfire you will now find a weapon blueprint called Cyber Hands 2177

Cyber Hands 2177 craften

Once you have found the blueprint, you simply need to open your crafting menu to craft the Cyber Hands 2177. These are ordinary brass knuckles that are modelled on the Mantis Blades from Cyberpunk 2077. Making them consumes a lot of resources, 379 scraps to be exact. If you don’t have enough scraps in your inventory, simply seek out merchants who sell the resource.

If you have problems following our instructions, then the video guide from the YouTube channel Punish should help you – where you can also put the weapon into action:

What to do if the liquidator doesn’t show up?

Some players report that they do not encounter the liquidator – no matter what time of day they choose to meet. It is not officially confirmed, but many fans suspect that the encounter is no longer available after completing the main story. If we get a final answer to this question, we will of course revise this article accordingly.

So you will need a save game in which you have not yet completed the story of Dying Light 2. Otherwise you will miss the Liquidator and the blueprint for the Cyber Hands 2177.

Who is the liquidator?

The Liquidator is a mysterious figure who is definitely not from Villedor. In conversation, he reveals to Aiden that his real name is Kajetan and that he belongs to a mysterious organisation called LDPD – possibly an end-time police unit. He compares himself to Max Walker (Jean-Claude Van Damme) from the action film Timecop, so Kajetan could even be a time traveller.

Kajetan, or the Liquidator, has come to Villedore in search of a fugitive named Margarita Connor. Kajetan also mentions two of his allies – Quasi and SiCK – but the dialogue with Aiden reveals no further details. We only learn that Kajetan has already made the acquaintance of Kyle Crane – the protagonist from the first Dying Light.
You can listen to the complete dialogue with Kajetan in the YouTube video of the channel OniZombies:
