The World of Warcraft expansion Shadowlands again includes numerous class adjustments, which were already implemented in patch 9.0.1 prior to the release of this World of Warcraft expansion. Although the class changes are not as large as in Legion, they do change the way all classes and specializations play. However, this article is less about the gameplay and more about the DPS rankings for Shadowlands. The DPS rankings tell you how well or badly each specialization performs in the new addon.
Influence on DPS Rankings
Which values influence the strength of the character? The strength of each class is determined by the choice of talents and combat rotation. However, there are other things that influence the DPS value.
Skills and talents of each class and specialization.
- Pact Skills
- Equipment
- Legendary Items
- Soul bond talents
- Media (eng. Conduits)
- Profession improvements: Enchantments, Gems, Food, Potions and Vials
- Runes
- DPS Ranking Tools
DPS rankings are created through complex simulations using tools like Ask Mr.Robot, or Simcraft. Since the interest is high, we started the simulations as early as possible and updated them again and again. The following DPS rankings were last updated a few days before Shadowlands was released. Unless there are major changes in the meantime, the next DPS rankings for patch 9.1 will follow.

DPS rankings for Patch 9.0.2
Below are the DPS rankings for Patch 9.0.2. After Blizzard still made class adjustments after the release of Patch 9.0.1 and Patch 9.0.2, we have created new simulations. The following simulations were created in the last week before the launch of Shadowlands. If you want to create your own simulations, you can do so at Ask Mr.Robot at this link.
