What do you play? A little Call of Duty here, a little Fortnite there, and the occasional round of CS.GO? For G2 player m0NESY, the leisure time activities look a little different.
CS:GO pro Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov will be just 17 years old on May 1, but according to his Steam profile, he’s already racked up an incredible amount of play time in the game!
CS 1.6 from 5 years old
The G2 AWPer m0NESY shared a screenshot of his Steam profile on Twitter on 22 February showing his CS:GO playtime. He has spent an incredible 15,015 hours in the first-person shooter – that’s about 11% of his life! According to his own statements, he started playing CS 1.6 when he was 5 years old and switched to CS:GO when he was 9. Accordingly, he has accumulated the 15k hours since he was 9 years old.

Hobby = Profession
Even though this number sounds very high for his young age, you have to keep in mind that CS:GO is not just a leisure activity for m0NESY, it is his job.
To get to 15,000 hours, m0NESY would have had to play for 7.5 years at 250 working days per year (regular 5-day week), with a regular working time of 8 hours per day. If, as he himself claims, he started playing CS:GO when he was 9 years old, this figure would be quite close.
By the way, here are a few things you could also do in 15,000 hours:
- 93-play through The Witcher 3 to 100% (without DLCs)
- 5,000 times watch The Wolf of Wall Street
- 197-times fly to the moon (Apollo 11)
- 1,500 times listen to the Cantina Band’s 10-hour mix of Star Wars
