Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition gets countless bug fixes with Patch 1.04 on all platforms. We list all of the bug fixes for you.

The list of problems with Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition is as long as the game’s title – but it’s getting shorter and shorter. After a disastrous launch, a sales stop and several updates, the GTA remaster is now getting another general overhaul with Patch 1.04. However, you should not hope for any new content. The update really is primarily and only concerned with bugs. In principle, the page-long patch notes focus on three pillars:

  • Collision bugs: In all three games – i.e. GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas – heaps of collision problems are fixed.
  • Mission Bugs: Many missions in the trilogy suffer from bugs that prevent the game from progressing. Here, too, a lot is cleared out of the way
  • Glitches: Various glitches of hairstyles and objects are fixed.

However, the patch also addresses various other issues, such as control errors with the Dodo, incorrect or missing sounds, respawns and so on. According to the patch notes, performance has also improved on all platforms.

Will this be enough to make the remaster of the GTA trilogy a success story? Maybe we’ll take another look at the game in the near future, but for now we’ll stick with our cautious review of GTA: The Trilogy. Rockstar itself still swears allegiance to the project, and has already announced that it will tackle the bugs with various patches until the Definitive Edition truly deserves its name.
