The list of bugs that Raven Software has to fix in the upcoming mid-season update is getting longer and longer. Now it’s hit the operators.

If there’s a bug, the Warzone community will find it. Their latest find concerns the flight distance of the Operators.

Faster, higher, shorter?

The Warzone community can easily be called a truffle pig for bugs. If there is a bug somewhere in the game, they will find it and dig it out. This has now happened again on Reddit. Players have tested the flight range of the individual operators on the parachute and have come to an astonishing conclusion.

Reddit user u/hn6 posted a post in which he claims that the operators have different flight speeds. This doesn’t sound critical in itself, but it has a direct impact on the gameplay. Whoever flies faster also arrives faster on the ground. Accordingly, the operators can fly different distances, which gives some an advantage over others.

Already tested
Of course, a video from CoD expert JGOD wasn’t long in coming. The YouTuber was able to confirm the Reddit theory through various tests and encourages players to try it out with more. So think carefully about which operator you choose for the next match. Currently, only Modern Warfare and Black Ops operators seem to be affected by the bug, but not Vanguard. Here are the already tested operators from Modern Warfare and Black Ops:

* Airspeed 10.4 m/s = shorter parachute range:

– Roze, Nikolai, Naga, Weaver, Wraith

* Airspeed 6.6 m/s = longer parachute range:

Stone, Sims, Golem, Grinch, Krueger, Mil-Sim, Minotaur.
The difference in ranges is due to incorrect airspeed. Actually, all operators should fly at 6.6 m/s, but some of them fly at 10.4 m/s. In this case, however, the increased speed is due to the fact that the operator is not flying at the same speed. In this case, the increased speed is negative because the players sink to the ground faster and cannot fly as far. Depending on which operator you play, targets that are further away cannot be approached at the beginning of the round.

Update of 18 March

As Raven Software shared via Twitter, they are aware of the bug and are working on a fix.
