Industry insider Tom Henderson is reportedly aware of a planned showcase to announce and show off many games.

Ubisoft has quite a few games and brands in store that we know little about: Rumours of a new Assassin’s Creed away from Infinity are doing the rounds, Skull and Bones is still sailing through uncharted waters, and then there’s Avatar – Frontiers of Pandora.

The often reliable insider Tom Henderson now claims on the (website Xfire) , all these and even more games could be shown at a big Ubisoft showcase. When this could take place and which games are to be presented soon, you can find out here.

What does the leak promise?

Tom Henderson states that the showcase from publisher Ubisoft has been in the works for some time. He was told this by sources who have direct knowledge of Ubisoft’s plans. Actually, the event was supposed to take place before E3 2022, but due to current world events, the planning has been stopped for the time being.

But even if the showcase is cancelled or postponed, Henderson says some games would be ready for an announcement: be it a reveal, a development update or a release date.

How credible is the information? Tom Henderson is considered a reliable source of insider information and is usually correct with his claims. Nevertheless, caution is of course advised, as the authenticity of the information cannot be confirmed. And even if the information is currently correct, Ubisoft’s plans can still change.

We are supposed to know more about these games soon

Henderson lists a whole series of games with new information and targeted release date or time period. However, the leaker only gives the latter with reservations, after all, postponements are nothing new. We have summarised the information on the most important titles for you, here they are in the table of contents:

  • Assassin’s Creed Rift
  • Skull and Bones
  • Avatar – Frontiers of Pandora
  • The Division Heartland
  • Immortals Fenyx Rising 2
  • New Prince of Persia
  • The Crew 3
  • Other Games

Assassin’s Creed Rift

As early as February 2022, there were rumours of a new Assassin’s Creed that won’t be Assassin’s Creed Infinity. A character from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was supposed to get its own DLC. But it got so big that Ubisoft decided to make a separate game out of it.

Henderson now states that the title will probably be released in the first half of 2023. However, it is said to be a smaller game.

Skull & Bones

After years of development problems, postponements, a supposed reboot and a lot of uncertainty surrounding Skull & Bones, the time is now said to be near. They say they are finally satisfied with the current version of the pirate adventure, which is why players can now sign up for a closed (Beta Test). Ubisoft has also officially commented on the release of Skull & Bones. The game is scheduled for release between April 2022 and March 2023.

What it actually is. Skull and Bones is a ship combat game with a Pacific pirate setting, inspired by the gameplay of Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag. The final version seems to be designed primarily for multiplayer battles, pitting two teams of five players against each other.

Lost pirate game Skull & Bones to be released soon after all

Avatar – Frontiers of Pandora

This game is also one of those titles that disappeared into oblivion for a long time. Because it was already announced in 2017 that an Avatar game was to be created. It was not until 2021 that the first moving images of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora were shown. According to the leak, a new trailer has already been prepared, and external tests have also begun. Henderson therefore suspects that more will be shown about the game in the coming months. The release is also planned between April 2022 and March 2023.

What is it? Frontiers of Pandora is supposed to be an action-adventure game in which you explore an open world, the moon Pandora, from a first-person perspective. You play as a member of the Na’vi, the blue alien people known from the film. However, you are to experience a new story apart from the successful movie.

The Division Heartland

The free2play shooter Heartland is to be the third part of The Division series. Back in February 2022, a leak from an internal playtest caused a stir. Apparently Heartland is supposed to deviate from its predecessors and lean more towards Escape from Tarkov and Hunt: Showdown:

Apparently Ubisoft is now planning to release the multiplayer shooter in the next few months. Henderson suspects a mid-2022 release, but the latest the game should be out is March 2023.

The Division Heartland: What the Open World should learn from Tarkov

Immortals Fenyx Rising 2

Obviously Ubisoft is happy with the success of Immortals Fenyx Rising. Tom Henderson has information that a sequel to the open-world role-playing game is in development. However, this is currently only in pre-production, so a release is still a long way off, which is why Henderson does not specify a release date.

What is it actually? Fenyx Rising comes from the developers who also worked on Assassins Creed: Odyssey. However, the role-playing game is not set in ancient Greece, but in its mythical world. Breath of the Wild also serves as a model for Fenyx Rising. As the heroine Fenyx, we help Zeus fight his adversaries, explore the open world, fight monsters and solve environmental puzzles. A possible sequel will probably rely on the same elements.

New Prince of Persia

In addition to the Sands of Time remake, a new Prince of Persia branded game is also said to be in development. Among others, Ubisoft Montpellier is said to be involved in the project. Henderson hopes to be able to provide more information on this game soon.

What is it actually? Prince of Persia is a game series in which we acrobatically move through levels and fight enemies as the eponymous prince. While the early games were still 2D platformers, they later relied on three-dimensional environments. The new game, according to Henderson’s sources, will be a 2.5D game inspired by Ori.

The Crew 3 (Project Orlando)

When Project Orlando was leaked last year, people suspected an expansion for The Crew 2 behind the title. In fact, according to Henderson’s information, it is supposed to be a separate game with a new engine. Apparently Project Orlando has been in development for quite some time and could be announced this year.

What is this actually
? In both racing games The Crew and The Crew 2 you can drive an open world in the form of the entire USA. Part two extends this principle even further and even lets you control boats and planes. By driving races, we unlock new vehicles. A sequel will probably also rely on a huge, open world and lots of vehicles.

Ghost Recon Frontline revealed: All info on the new multiplayer shooter (UPDATE)

Ghost Recon Frontline: The New Battle Royale Shooter faced harsh criticism after initial testing, claiming it offered little innovation. Henderson says Frontline is planned as Ubisoft’s flagship use of NFTs and aims to use them on a larger scale than ever before.

What exactly are NFTs and what makes them so valuable?

Prince of Persia – The Sands of Time Remake

Contrary to rumours, the remake is still in the works. Henderson’s sources say they are reworking the game after fans reacted with disappointment to the first images.

Roller Champions

The Free2Play sports game was recently postponed until the end of spring. apparently, however, the game is still as good as finished and should definitely be released in the next few months.

Beyond Good and Evil 2

The planned prequel to Beyond Good and Evil was announced back in 2017 and has barely been heard from since. Despite the rumours about a possible discontinuation of development, Tom Henderson suspects that the game has already reached a point where Ubisoft doesn’t want to throw the invested money to the wind. However, he doesn’t think we’ll be hearing from the game any time soon.
