Fifa fans are eagerly waiting for the crossplay function so that players can compete together on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Statements from leakers give hope for this.

A crossplay test for FIFA 22 is imminent – at least according to the information of the well-known FIFA leakers FutSheriff and DonkTrading. The feature, which connects all platforms, is expected to be implemented in the new title by the end of the year.

On Wednesday, trusted leaker FutSheriff reported that the crossplay feature is being tested in FIFA 22. However, this is not said to relate to Ultimate Team at the current time. Still, the leaker predicts that crossplay will appear in FIFA 23.

A little later DonkTrading also reported on the crossplay test. His information coincides with that of FutSheriff. Already in the recent past it was reported that EA Sports was thinking about an implementation of cross-platform play. Insider Tom Henderson let such planned steps be known for FIFA 23 as well.

Cross-platform play between PC, PlayStation and Xbox players:in has been one of the most requested features in the FIFA series for years. However, EA Sports has not yet officially commented on this topic. Basically, the plans for the new title seem to be different. This already starts with the name, because due to the discussion about the naming rights with the World Football Association it is questionable if the new EA game will actually be called FIFA 23.
