Elden Ring can be completed in under 20 minutes. We reveal the speedrunner’s tricks to fly across the map fast.
Elden Ring is a gigantic open-world adventure with something to discover in every corner. However, it is possible to finish the game in the shortest possible time. The speedrunner Distortion2 proved in his most recent run that Elden Ring can be played through in 18:57 minutes. We tell you how it works.
To get through the open world game quickly, interesting tricks are used more often. In the speed runs, the “Zip” exploit is used right at the beginning. For this, the players only have to press the right mouse button and Alt at the same time and after four ticks briefly take a step forward with W. The player who hits the right timing telecommutes. If you time it right, you will teleport across the map. This takes some practice to get the timing right.
The Zip is used to teleport quickly from one point on the map to another and the players do not even get fall damage if they fall from a great height. This also makes it possible to get to the Icy Axe in the Templar Quarter at lightning speed, which is essential for defeating bosses.
In addition, further exploits are used in the speedrun, which allow the horse Torrent to fly. This allows the player to easily and quickly reach the lower levels of the academy and teleport to House Vulcan by being grabbed by the monster with the round saws as hands. The horse begins to fly when the game is finished, while the horse plunges to its death on a cliff. Following this, Torrent only needs to be summoned again and it begins to make its way through the air.
In House Vulcan, Godskin Noble must then be eliminated to obtain the weapon Godskin Stitcher. This becomes unbeatable in combination with the Royal Knight’s Resolve war ash. After all, this strengthens the next attack enormously and thus the Icy Axe causes even more damage. In the complete run, only three bosses need to be eliminated, because with the Zip, even Godfrey, the last boss before the final battle, can simply be skipped.
