What do the Battle Royale title PUBG: Battlegrounds and the Japanese role-playing games Nier: Automata and Nier: Replicant have in common? If you answer this question with “Nothing!”, we must correct you. Because in fact, these two franchises are coming together in a crossover event in PUBG.

What’s behind it? Of course, this does not suddenly turn the action fun into a role-playing game. Rather, the characters known from the Nier games are merely skins that you have to buy. Yes, that’s right, if you want to play in the guise of 2B and 9S, you’ll have to dig deep into your wallet first.

You’ll have to shell out the equivalent of 50 euros for the skin pack, at least if you want the full programme. Alternatively, you can buy the skins in two separate sets (2B and Kainé for 2080 G-Coins or 9S and Nier for 1500 G-Coins). Of course, it’s up to you to decide whether the new look is worth this amount of money.
