A well-known dataminer has released new details about possible content for BF 2042, including new helicopters, as well as details of a new map.

Many Battlefield fans are now familiar with the dataminer Temporyal. With almost half a year since the release of Battlefield 2042, there is still nothing to be seen or heard of new content, his discoveries offer a welcome glimpse into the game’s uncertain future. In the files of the latest patch, Temporyal has now discovered hints of new weapons, helicopters and the new map.

We summarise for you what you could expect as future content. By the way, there are already assumptions about when the first season can be expected:

How reliable is information from data mining? Since we are dealing with game files, the authenticity of 3D models, texts, sound files or the like is quite well assured. Temporyal is also known as a reliable source of information about the Battlefield games. In the case of Battlefield 2042, too, content and features discovered by him have already been published.

Despite all this, the developers could of course still decide not to use unreleased content for their game after all, so there is no guarantee that what is shown will end up appearing in the game.

New weapons, vehicles and maps for BF 2042

New melee weapons: New, unusual melee weapons can be found in the game files. The Khanjar is a dagger that clearly shows its Persian origin. With the wakizashi, you may soon also be able to equip a Japanese short sword. The Santa Muerte cane sword is clearly reminiscent of the aesthetics of the Mexican festival of the dead.

Futuristic-looking helicopters: In addition, Temporyal discovered the descriptions of two combat helicopters. Whether these could replace the currently existing gunships or will be available in addition is unclear. Also note that the artwork shown is not official material. Only the description texts are taken from the game files:

Map details of Exposure: While the developers have already confirmed that this new map is coming, details have not been revealed yet. Temporyal had shown artwork of the map earlier and now found more details in the game files: Apparently you have to be careful of falling rocks and destructible pipes on Exposure. Two new player maps may also give you an impression of the new map.

Whether the first Season with new weapons and vehicles, Map Exposure and new Specialists can halt the decline of Battlefield 2042 remains uncertain.

What do you think of the previously unreleased content? Do you like the new weapons and vehicles and do you hope that Exposure will play better than previous maps? Or will you remain sceptical until we get more details? Feel free to write your opinion in the comments!
