In Call of Duty: Warzone, the new Serpentine perk is available for the Season 3 Reloaded update. We tell you whether you should pack the extra in your loadout.

With the mid-season update, the new Serpentine extra welcomes us to Warzone. The perk was already present in Call of Duty: Vanguard and reduces damage while you sprint. But is it worth it to equip Serpentine?

Alternative to Cold Blooded and Tactical Sprint?

The new Extra Serpentine will share a space with the other Perks in the first slot. Thus, the Perk has strong competition with the other Meta-Picks. These include the Extras:

  • Rapid (Double-Time)
  • Cold-Blooded
  • Quick Fix

Quick Fix and Patch Up are especially popular here for more aggressive playstyles. The former improves your mobility, allowing you to switch between covers more quickly. However, many streamers and pros also prefer patching up to regenerate their health bar more quickly after kills. But Serpentine could take the place of both of these perks.

During the sprint you get 20% less damage with the extra. This makes the perk even safer than rush. Those who are upset about camping snipers can be especially happy. With the damage reduction, no sniper rifle should be able to take you out with a single shot, which should make this extra particularly strong.

Only passive players should stick to the old meta. Cold Blooded remains strong here, as it gives you protection against the Battle Scout perk.
