If you’re into martial arts, you’ll be happy here: The new trailer for Code: To Jin Yong is strongly reminiscent of From Software’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, but with Chinese rather than Japanese roots. The upcoming open-world game is based on a series of wuxia books – stories about heroic characters who master traditional Chinese martial arts.

It also looks really smart in the Unreal Engine 5! Only the frame rate doesn’t quite seem to keep up, which is why the game doesn’t look very fluid in the trailer. But it is also pointed out that this is a demo and does not yet represent the finished game.

Code: To Jin Yong will be the first standalone AAA game from Lightspeed Studios, part of mega-corporation Tencent. Lightspeed Studios has previously worked on mobile ports for Apex Legends and PUBG. However, it is not yet clear when the ambitious project will be finished. All that is said is that it should be ready “in the near future”.
