Warzone and Vanguard may be old hat after the release of Modern Warfare 2. But until that time comes, there will be plenty of new content.
The new Call of Duty will soon be released. Before that, however, you can look forward to a final season for Vanguard and Warzone. What Season 5 with the name Last Stand has to offer and when you can start playing is summarised here.

When is Season 5 coming?
As officially announced, the final season for Warzone and Vanguard will be released on August 24, 2022 The cinematic trailer already gives you a small impression of what”s coming. But of course we also want to clarify in detail what innovations await you:
What”s new?
Season 5 brings a lot of new content to the end, which should keep you busy until the start of Modern Warfare 2. In the picture you can already see everything at a glance, below we go into more detail on the individual points.
Maps and modes
In Warzone, the map Caldera changes drastically: A volcano erupts and buries parts of the island under lava flows. You also have to watch out for boulders raining down from the sky.
In the midst of this chaos, you can either defend Caldera or detonate bombs at key points to cause trouble in the limited-time Operation: Last Call mode. In the Heroes vs. Villains community event, join a side and collect tokens for heroes or villains by killing enemies or opening supply crates.
Vanguard”s multiplayer features two new maps, Beheaded and Fortress, which take you to a post-apocalyptic Times Square and a Mediterranean ship graveyard. Beheaded will be released at the beginning of the season, Fortress only later with the next update.
With The Archon, a new turn-based zombie mode is also coming, which is intended to conclude the undead story of Vanguard.
Operator
With Season 5, you can venture onto the battlefield as 4 new Operators. They are all villains from the history of Call of Duty. Joining them are Raul Menendez, Khaled Al-Asad, Gabriel T. Rorke and He “Seraph” Zhen-Zhen.
Weapons
Of course you can also equip new weapons. There is the new Valois revolver, the futuristic EX1 energy rifle and the RA225 submachine gun. During the season, the two assault rifles BP50 and Lienna 57 will also be added in an update.
