Gameplay has now been leaked for the new CoD: MWII. There you can see some new features that have not been seen before
The next CoD title Modern Warfare 2 will be released on 28 October and will also include Warzone 2. Shortly before release, there are also always leaks from playtesters that give us new insights into the new Call of Duty. The leak account – Cod Leaks – @3rbbcod has shown new gameplay of MWII here, revealing new features and mechanics.
New Vehicle Features
So the leaker first shows a new vehicle. In the upcoming MWII we can probably expect controllable pickup trucks. There you can see how the player jumps onto the loading platform of a moving pickup truck and then eventually takes it over.
However, it is unclear whether the jump into the other vehicle is scripted. Thus, boarding a vehicle could be significantly more difficult in real gameplay. Nevertheless, the leak also shows functions that you can definitely use.
Activision has now confirmed that you will always be able to lean out of the vehicle with weapons. There will also be the option to climb onto the roof, repair the cars and refuel. However, this raises the question of whether the mobile vehicles will be generated in this way. After all, this is how you have to leave the cover of the vehicles.
Under water
Furthermore, 3rbbcod also shows scenes from the new campaign. There we can see that the protagonist is in the water and can dive. There has been underwater gameplay in previous CoD parts, but in the leak it looks like there will be more interaction possibilities this time.
The only thing that is certain is that there will again be a diving mission at night. This already existed in the original Modern Warfare 2 from 2009. There, the special unit Task Force 141 infiltrated an oil platform. The mission was one of the most impressive parts of the old campaign due to its coherent atmosphere. The developers probably want to draw parallels to the old title and thus trigger nostalgia.
