A big Warzone update is coming to Season 3 on Thursday. Along with 80s heroes Rambo and John McClane as operators, there will be new points of interest and weapons in Call of Duty.
“80s Action Heroes” – that’s the theme of the mid-season update in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. This refers to the two brand new operators making their debut in Activision’s title on Thursday. Featuring the one-man army of Rambo and John McClane from Die Hard, the two legendary action heroes of the 80s are immortalised in the game and come with a few extra weapon skins and finishing moves.

With the update, Activision and Raven Software are bringing new bundles, points of interest and weapons to the game to match the theme of the 80s heroes. The full update blog can be seen on the official CoD site. The update will be available Thursday morning.
New bundles and additional mode:
- The Hard Operator Bundle
- Rambo Operator Bundle
- Power Grab (Limited Time Mode)
New Points of Interest:
- Nakatomi Plaza (Die Hard)
- Survival Camps (Rambo II)
- CIA Outpost (Rambo II)
New Weapons:
- Ballistic Knife
- Combat Bow Killstreak
The ballistic knife can be used as a close combat weapon as well as a projectile. Equipped as a secondary weapon, the knife can provide silent kills and is a fresh way to surprise your opponents due to its universal use.
The Killstreak Bow can be found as loot in Warzone. This explosive projectile ignites both vehicles and players on hit and can add a new twist to the game, according to Raven Software. The longer the bow is strung, the further the arrow will fly.
The Limited Time Mode power grab will be used to play out quick battle royale matches. There will be no Gulag and the map is also more limited than usual. Fallen teammates can be revived via the Buy Station or by collecting so-called “Dog Tags”. Each operator starts with a dog tag and loses it on elimination, which in turn can be cancelled out by others.
The update for Warzone has the following size on the platforms:
- PlayStation 5: 14.6 GB
- PlayStation 4: 14.6 GB
- Xbox One Series X / Xbox One Series S: 15.2 GB
- Xbox One: 15.2 GB
- PC: 14.9 GB
