Some Playstation games make us look longingly from the PC to the console. Find out which titles have or will be getting a PC version here.

In recent years, the market for PC games has been enriched with more and more former Playstation exclusives. Most recently, for example, 2018”s God of War was ported to PC and was brilliantly received!

To help you see at a glance which games you can currently get on PC and which titles will follow in the future, we”ve created this list. It includes all games that were originally only released for the Playstation 4 or 5, but have been or will be given a PC port. For a better overview, we have divided the games into three categories:

  • Playstation games that already exist for the PC
  • Playstation games that have been announced for the PC
  • Playstation games that might be coming for the PC

These games have been announced for the PC

The Last of Us Remake

(Genre: Action-Adventure – Playstation Release: September 2, 2022 (PS5) – PC Release: Unknown)

We had to wait a long time for this game: Sony only announced that The Last of Us would also be released on the PC in June 2022 as part of the Summer Game Fest. The game, which is already nine years old, will be released as a complete remake with graphic and gameplay improvements. The Last of Us will be released for Playstation 5 in September, but it is not yet known how long PC players will have to wait.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection

(Genre: Action-Adventure – Playstation Release: 28 January 2022 (PS5) – PC Release: 19 October 2022)

The adventures of Nathan Drake have already been transferred to the big screen and will finally make it to the PC before the end of 2022. At least this is true for the fourth part, A Thief”s End, and the standalone add-on The Lost Legacy, both of which will also be released for the PC as part of the Legacy of Thieves Collection with improved graphics.

Marvel”s Spider-Man Miles Morales

(Genre: Action-Adventure – Playstation Release: November 12, 2020 (PS4), November 19, 2020 (PS5) – PC Release: Fall 2022)

Yes, your spider senses have struck true, there”s more crime to fight. Because later in the year, Miles Morales is also due to be the next Spider-Man game for the PC. This acts as an expansion of Marvel”s Spider-Man and continues its story, but with the new hero who also has different abilities.

These games may be coming to the PC

Returnal

(Genre: Action-Adventure – Playstation Release: 30 April 2021 – PC Release: Not yet confirmed)

Kevin suspected earlier that the roguelike shooter Returnal would get a PC port. However, he did not expect a release until 2023. In May 2022, an entry was discovered in the Steam database SteamDB, which is probably the PC version of Returnal. There are also words there (that can be relatively clearly assigned to the shooter).

A leak now seems to confirm the development of Returnal for the PC: About the video that has since been removed by Sony (reported among others IGN). The short clip apparently shows the graphics settings for the PC port. Among other things, ray tracing options and settings for the DLSS and FSR scaling techniques are shown.

Horizon Forbidden West

(Genre: Action-Adventure – Playstation Release: February 18, 2022 – PC Release: Not yet confirmed)

After Horizon Zero Dawn was also a great success on PC, it would be little surprise if one day the sequel Forbidden West is also re-released for PC gamers. However, it could still take a while until then, as it is quite possible that Sony wants to use the game as a sales argument for the Playstation 5 first. Once again, we fight our way through a post-apocalyptic world populated by mechanical dinosaurs as Aloy.

God of War: Ragnarok

(Genre: Action-Adventure – Playstation Release: November 9, 2022 – PC Release: Not yet confirmed)

The sequel to God of War (2018) hasn”t even been released for the Playstation yet, but already PC gamers can hope to play God of War Ragnarok one day. After all, PS5 blockbusters for the PC have been announced again and again lately. In addition, the PC version of God of War has already celebrated great success on Steam!

Rise of the Ronin

(Genre: Action RPG – Playstation Release: 2024 – PC Release: Not yet confirmed)

Rise of the Ronin is being developed by Studio Ninja, who previously published both Nioh games. Their new game takes us to the historically inspired Japan of the 19th century, where a power struggle between the shogunate that has ruled for centuries and its opponents grows into a civil war. As masterless ronin, we get to decide whose side we”ll take.

The action RPG was announced as a console exclusive for the PS5. A PC release is therefore quite possible, even if not yet confirmed. But after Nioh and Nioh 2 were already ported, a later PC release seems likely here as well.

These games are already available for the PC

Helldivers

(Genre: Top-down shooter – Playstation release: 4 March 2015 – PC release: 7 December 2015)

The sci-fi shooter only had to eke out its existence as an exclusive title for the Playstation 4 for a few months. Since the end of 2015, the game has also been available as a PC version on Steam. From a top-down perspective, we take on three alien races that humanity is fighting against on alien planets in the distant future.

Everbody”s Gone to the Rapture

(Genre: Adventure – Playstation Release: August 11, 2015 – PC Release: April 14, 2016)

The mystery adventure Everybody”s Gone to the Rapture was originally released exclusively for the Playstation 4, but was also released for the PC shortly afterwards. We explore a tranquil English village and have to find out what is behind the disappearance of its inhabitants. The only thing that spoils the game”s fascination is the long walking distances!

Nioh

(Genre: Action RPG – Playstation Release: February 9, 2017 (PS4), February 5, 2021 (PS5) – PC Release: November 7, 2017)

The PC version of the Japanese action role-playing game Nioh suffers from quite a few weaknesses. Especially in the control with mouse and keyboard hardly any effort was put and it is therefore advisable to use a controller on the PC as well.

Guns Up!

(Genre: Turn-based Strategy – Playstation Release: December 9, 2015 – PC Release: February 5, 2018)

One of the lesser known Playstation 4 exclusive titles was probably the free2play turn-based strategy game Guns Up. Here you build up armies and send them into battle against other players, while you have to protect your own base from attacks.

Detroit: Become Human

(Genre: Action-Adventure – Playstation Release: May 25, 2018 – PC Release: December 12, 2019)

Developer Quantic Dream is known for complex story adventures in which you have to make tough and momentous decisions. In Detroit: Become Human, you are transported to a future in which androids that look like humans have become commonplace. The story about the fate of three different robots was also well received by PC gamers.

Death Stranding

(Genre: Action – Playstation Release: November 8, 2019 (PS4), September 24, 2021 (PS5) – PC Release: July 14, 2020)

Hideo Kojima”s Death Stranding, which has long remained enigmatic in its trailers, is coming to PC in 2020. With a Hollywood cast (Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Guillermo del Toro), this tells the story of an end-time package messenger who wanders a menacing world full of shadowy creatures. In the meantime, only the extended director”s cut of Death Stranding is available on the PC, but it”s worth a look, especially for new players!

Nioh 2

(Genre: Action RPG – Playstation Release: March 13, 2020 (PS4), February 5, 2021 (PS5) – PC Release: February 5, 2021)

Nioh 2, similar to its predecessor, suffered from some technical problems at launch on the PC, such as frame rate drops. However, the action role-playing game from Japan convinced Souls fans with its challenging boss fights, large scope and motivating game design.

Horizon: Zero Dawn

(Genre: Action – Playstation Release: March 1, 2017 – PC Release: August 7, 2020)

A post-apocalyptic world where humans hunt mechanical dinos with bows and arrows might have sounded like a whimsical idea at first. However, Horizon Zero Dawn has already proven on the Playstation how well the open world and the story of the warrior Aloy work.

Days Gone

(Genre: 3rd-person shooter – Playstation release: 26 April 2019 – PC release: 18 May 2021)

A road trip by motorbike through the US state of Oregon actually sounds quite relaxing. However, PC players can now experience just how unpleasant the journey can be when you are being chased by huge hordes of zombies in Days Gone. The game tells the story of a biker who has lost his wife, but scores more points with its dense atmosphere and detailed game world:

God of War

(Genre: Action-Adventure – Playstation Release: April 20, 2018 – PC Release: Jan 14, 2022)

When it comes to PC ports of Playstation games, it”s almost impossible not to mention God of War. The remake of the series about the God of War thrilled on the Playstation with its emotional story and brute fights. At the beginning of 2022, an almost flawless conversion was delivered for the PC, which received much praise from gamers and the trade press.

Marvel”s Spider-Man Remastered

(Genre: Action-Adventure – Playstation Release: November 12, 2020 (PS5) – PC Release: August 12, 2022)

You can now also swing through a graphically impressive New York as a hero with spider powers as a PC player. The remaster of the original game from 2018 also came to the PC after a release for the PS5 and also convinces with an excellent port.
