Of course, travelling in Tamriel is a lot of fun. But with the right mods, you can save yourself a lot of running around, make it easier for you to search for resources or become skilled traders without stress. With our mod recommendations, no wish remains unfulfilled!

Whether you prefer to pursue quests at your leisure, compete with others in PvP, explore the diverse areas or become a new millionaire in Tamriel through the trade house: The Elder Scrolls Online has a lot to offer. However, this also means that it is not always easy to keep track of things at first or to find good deals in the trade market. Old hands look for missing books from the mages” guild, optimise new skills or would like to get new skill points easily.

With the right mods, all this is no problem! In our mod list you will find helpful and useful extensions for all the most important aspects of the game, which will make your everyday life and battles more comfortable. We have left out class-specific mods in favour of more choice for the individual basic categories.

As always with mod recommendations, the same applies to this article: What is a huge comfort gain for one person that enriches the gaming experience, destroys the atmosphere or balancing for another. So before installing a mod, think carefully about what you would most like to change in your personal ESO adventure and what you would like to keep as it is.

1. how to install mods in ESO

Then open the folder “AddOns“. If this folder does not yet exist, create it by right-clicking in the directory, selecting “New” and “Create folder”. Then unpack the downloaded addon in the “AddOns” folder. On the download page of the desired mod, also look for dependencies on other add-ons. Many mods do not work without additional mods or libraries that you have to download separately. You will find the corresponding notes and instructions on the mod pages we have linked.

Alternatively, you can use the addon administration tool “Minion“, which supports World of Warcraft as well as The Elder Scrolls Online and is available in English. (On the Minion website) you can find further information on installation and use.

2. orientation and search

Ayleid Wells

With this addon, fans of the long-lost elven race will be able to find all of the actively usable Aleyid Wells scattered throughout Tamriel

Crafting Stations

With this mod all set workshops will be shown on the world map.

LoreBooks

This mod is worthwhile if you collect the books to unlock all Mage Guild skills and shows you on the world map and compass with symbols their locations.

LostTreasure

With this mod, you will receive helpful markers on your map for the destinations of all treasure maps, crafting material findings reports, and map hints for the glory story map game introduced with High Isle.

(If you activate the filter settings, LostTreasure will show you all the destinations of treasure maps, lost and found reports and map clues).

    MundusMapRevived

Save yourself the tedious buff search in the future, as this mod shows you all the mundus stones with a red marker on the world map.

    Quest Map

If your focus in ESO is on questing or if you want to complete achievements associated with completing quests, the Quest Map will help you find new quests. In this mod, open and completed quests are marked by exclamation marks on the world map, which you can also hide again if you wish.

    Sieged Keeps

If you regularly participate in the campaigns in Cyrodiil, this mod can help you with your defence: It shows all fortresses where siege weapons are used

    SkyShards

This extension is one of the absolute classics among the ESO mods and shows you on the world map and compass where collectable sky shards (including description) are located.

    Urich”s Skill Point Finder

Shows you which activities and locations will earn you extra skill points

( Urich''s Skill Point Finder gives you a handy overview of where you can still pick up skill points for your characters.)

      Votan”s Minimap

One of the most common criticisms of ESO in the community is the lack of a minimap by default. With Votan”s Minimap you get a slim and robust version into the game. If you want more features, the Minimap by Fyrakin is a good alternative.

      3. UI, travel and better overview

      AlphaGear 2

If you use different clothing and weapon sets (for example as a healer, tank and damage dealer for PvE and PvP), with AlphaGear 2 and correspondingly created profiles you can change the necessary items and skills in the skills bar with just one click.

      AUI – Advanced UI

AUI changes your UI with separately activatable modules that provide you with a minimap and statistics, customise various bars, make group and raid windows clearer and much more.

(For a better overview, use the customisable bars in AUI Advanced UI.)

        BeamMeUp – Teleporter (Fast Travel)

This mod makes it much easier for you to use travel to friends as well as group and guild members as an alternative to teleport shrines.

        Leo”s Altholic

If you have created many different characters, this mod will give you a better overview of their learned skills, their inventory, their current amount of gold, the research they have completed and much more.

        TrueExploration

If you miss the feeling of exploration of most action role-playing games, you can downgrade all maps in the game with this mod and in future you will only be shown the areas that you explore yourself. You will only see a complete map when you have really explored every corner of a dungeon or area!

(Only when you have explored every corner of the dungeon will you be shown the entire map with the mod TrueExploration)

        4. trade and inventory

        Advanced AutoLoot

This mod is especially worthwhile for heroes without a subscription (and constant inventory space problems), as it allows you to choose the quality level at which you pick up items in the first place. It also automates the dispatch of resources to the guild craftsmen.

        AwesomeGuildStore

If you often use the guild merchants to sell your own items, this mod will make the process easier for you thanks to a better overview, more useful categories and extra filters.

        Dustman

Dustman keeps your inventory clean, but with a different approach than Advanced AutoLoot: In this mod, you mark items of your choice as scrap that will automatically be sold the next time you visit a merchant NPC. Once you have made scrap settings, the mod remembers them for future loot, and you can also have items marked as scrap automatically destroyed below a gold value that you have marked.

        Master Merchant 3.0

If you are a member of several trade guilds, Master Merchant reads out the prices called up there for all goods offered. This allows you to realistically price your own goods based on the data received over several days.

        Tamriel Trade Centre

If you use a guild trader, this mod collects the information on all items available in the trader and plays them out in the website of the same name. This makes it easier and faster for all those willing to trade to find their desired items. The mod Show (TTC Price) shows you the prices obtained at Tamriel Trade Center of items in the inventory, material bag, storage boxes and the bank.

(On the website for the mod Tamriel Trade Center you can search for the place of sale and price of various goods using the data read out)

          5. craft and resource search

          ESO Farm Buddy

If you want to collect a certain amount of resources without constantly checking your inventory to see if you have everything, the Farm Buddy will help you keep track. Here you can set the desired resources you are looking for and can then track how much you have already collected by means of the filling bars.

          HarvestMap

HarvestMap saves you from having to search again for resource nodes, chests or fishing spots. The mod shows you these locations with a matching marker on the world map as well as on the compass and in the game world once you have found and used them. In addition, there is also a filter that hides markers whose resources have not yet been respawned.

(You decide how the HarvestMap addon plays marked resource nodes for you: Either with symbols or colour-coded areas.)

            Dolgubon”s Lazy Writ Crafter

For all those who are keen on writing notes but not on the sometimes laborious crafting and handing in, this mod offers a convenient solution. With it, you automatically take necessary resources from your bank, automate quest and bank dialogues, let rewards be collected and much more. Since Alchemy and Provisioner scripts are not included, use (Daily Provisioning) and (Daily Alchemy).

With (Dolgubon”s Lazy Set Crafter) you get a mod with similar functions for making armour sets.

            6th raid and combat helper

            Action Duration Reminder

Displays the cooldown of your abilities in the ability bar and flashes to remind you that abilities can be used

            Combat Metrics

With Combat Metrics you can read out all relevant information about damage dealt and received, healing done, the strongest abilities, buffs and more in all your fights. In raids, you will learn how efficient you are compared to other party members and how you can best adjust your rotations.

(The mod CombatMetrics provides you with an overview of damage dealt and received as well as your most efficient skills).

            Dungeon Tracker

Keep track of your progress in dungeon quests and achievements with the Dungeon Tracker.

            LGM – Lilith”s Group Manager

For world bosses, raids, and other group activities, this mod is great for saving you a lot of nerves when forming a group. Features include easier group invites, kicks for logged out players, saveable group setups and more.

            Neltharion”s Healer

If the life of a party member drops below a certain value, this mod notifies you by acoustic or visual warning signals and thus makes the healer game easier for you. With the Group Death Notifier you can add signals to indicate the death of a group member or your pet.

            PvP Meter

Fighting in Cyrodiil campaigns or the other PvP options, the PvP Meter provides you with useful statistics on all aspects of PvP, such as the number of death blows, alliance points, team score or medals.

            RaidNotifier Updated

For those who quickly lose track of the effects storm in raids or have trouble with the timing to dodge boss abilities, this mod is a competent help, as you will receive a warning in such cases
