The South Korean developer studio Neowiz unveiled a new trailer for Lies of P at the weekend. This not only shows us impressive cutscenes, but also has action-packed gameplay material ready for us.

Those familiar with the book know how dark the story of Pinocchio is. But as the latest trailer for Lies of P shows, Neowiz seems to be taking the video game adaptation up a notch.

The mechanoid Pinocchio sets out to find his creator Geppetto, who, according to a mysterious letter, is supposed to be in the city of Krat. However, the town is plagued by madness and a thirst for blood.

To survive here, Pinocchio not only has to lie to everyone. He also has to defend himself against numerous enemies. To this end, the latest gameplay trailer shows various fight sequences.

This makes it clear that the combat of Lies of P is primarily aimed at dodging and precise timing when attacking. This is something that experienced gamers already know from other Souls-like titles such as Bloodbourne.

In addition, there are the various equipment options that players can apply to Pinocchio as the story progresses. The trailer already shows a gripper arm, a flaming sword and a drill.

Lies of P is scheduled to be released for PC, PlayStation and Xbox in the course of next year. More gameplay footage of the gritty game awaits you in the following post. On (Twitter) you can check out more artwork for the game.
