While some missions in the DMZ are a walk in the park, others are quite challenging. We tell you how to successfully complete the “dead letter box” mission.

To complete the Legion Dead Letter Box mission in Warzone 2.0, you need to find a special container near the Sarwana Hotel. We’ll tell you how to get there and what you should be looking for.

It gets harder

Whoever goes to the DMZ has to do more than just crack a few safes or activate an antenna somewhere for the missions of the three factions Legion, White Lotus and Black Mous. While the first missions are self-explanatory and easy to complete, it gets a lot harder when the second faction, White Lotus, is unlocked.

The missions of the different factions are only unlocked one after the other. We must therefore first complete all the Legion missions before we can accept missions from White Lotus. The further we advance in the factions, the more demanding the missions become.

At the beginning, the missions are more on the level of a tutorial. “Activate a mission phone” or “loot five loot stashes” should not be too much of a challenge for anyone. The level 2 Legion missions, however, then become a bit harder and sometimes give us very little information about what we are actually supposed to do or where to find it.

Hotel Sarwana

One of these slightly more difficult missions is the dead letter mission which provides us with only scanty information. According to the description, we are to travel to the Sarwana Hotel in Al-Mazrah City and look for a dead dumpster mailbox. Once found, we have to put 20 pieces of primary equipment in it.

The hotel and the dumpster we are looking for are in map square F3 just north of the post office near a bridge. The actual dumpster can be found in an alley to the left of the hotel’s main entrance. Once in the alley, walk directly towards the container.

Primary equipment, in short, includes all throwing objects that can kill enemies on impact. Throwing objects such as stun grenades, shock sticks or snap grenades do not count towards this.

These are the items you must throw in the dumpster to make mission progress.

  •  Hand Grenade
  • Proximity mine
  • Drill charge
  • Molotov cocktail
  • Semtex
  • C4
  • Claymore
  • Thermit
  • Throwing Knife

Whether you throw in 20 hand grenades, 10 proximity mines and 10 Semtex or five each of C4, claymores, thermite and throwing knives doesn’t matter. In the end, it simply has to be twenty primary pieces of equipment.

The objects in the container are stackable, so you could, for example, put two or more hand grenades, mines or Molotov cocktails straight in. Don’t be confused by the four slots in the rubbish bin.

Once you have put four pieces in, you can select the container again and put down four more. Apart from that, you don’t have to throw in all 20 objects in one DMZ round.
