There are indications that Season 2 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 will be delayed. Is this true?

According to a leak, the start of the next CoD Season in MW2 and Warzone 2 will be delayed by more than two weeks. Originally, February 1 was set for the release of Season 2, but for reasons unknown so far, this may now not be met.

Season 2 postponed?

According to CoD site CharlieIntel, dataminers have reportedly found out that the launch of Season 2 will be postponed from February 1 to February 15.

So far these are only rumours, but at the moment there is a lot to be said for it. After all, neither Infinity Ward nor Raven Software has published any information about the contents of Season 2 yet and is probably busy fixing various bugs at the moment.

Spanish writer and philosopher George Santayana once said, “Those who do not know the past are condemned to repeat it” – wisdom that could hardly be more apt for the bad news CharlieIntel announced on Twitter.

Exactly one year ago, the CoD community received very similar news about Season 2 of Vanguard and Warzone Pacific.

Was this already with Warzone 2?
Although the developers wanted to make everything better with Warzone 2.0, the game has apparently only caused problems and angered the CoD community since its release on 16 November.

It seems as if the list of bugs, glitches and missing features in Warzone 2.0 is so long that the developers can’t manage to work through them in time for the 1st of February. A declaration of bankruptcy for one of the world’s biggest game makers, which seems to have learned nothing from its history and is making the same mistakes again.

The delay of Season 2 could be another nail in the coffin for the Battle Royale, -shooter, which has lost over 50% of its playerbase within the last four weeks.

So far, the developers have not commented on the rumours, which is not expected soon given the lack of communication with the community.

If there is any news on the subject, we will of course keep you up to date.
