In addition to two big names, there are many more exciting new releases waiting for you on Steam this week

It”s Monday and big names are finally waiting in Steam releases this week: the first big role-playing game of the year and the remake of a true horror milestone are about to be released.

The highlights of the week

Forspoken

In Forspoken you play the heroine Frey Holland: an ordinary girl who gets stranded in the threatening fantasy world Athia and gains superhuman powers there. With her magical abilities, Frey must now free the four kingdoms of the land from a plague.

In the trailers so far, Forspoken looks opulently staged – but shortly before the release, scepticism is growing. A number of gaming websites and YouTube channels have not received review codes, the PC version has apparently not been released for testing at all, although the embargo on testing ends today. It seems that after games like CoD Modern Warfare 2 and Warhammer 40k: Darktide, the next launch with major technical problems is waiting for us. Read more about this in our pre-release test based on the PS5 version!

Dead Space Remake

Genre: Horror/Shooter – Developer: Motive – Release: January 27 (get the game on Steam)

In Dead Space Remake experience the first eerie adventure of 2008 space engineer Isaac Clarke, here he embarks alone aboard the USG Ishimura spaceship. What at first looks like a simple repair job soon turns into a nightmare come true.

The crew has disappeared off the face of the earth, and instead the entire ship is teeming with vicious monsters called Necromorphs – and the only way to fight them is for Isaac to dismantle them into their individual parts with his plasma cutter. In addition to contemporary graphics, you can also expect new game mechanics and many other improvements in the remake, including in the story.
