Project Sirius is supposed to offer something for single player and multiplayer players as a new Witcher game. What exactly, fans are now discussing based on job offers.

We won’t be short of new Witcher games in the coming years. In fact, CD Projekt Red is currently planning as many as six different Witcher projects, not every one of which will be a new role-playing game. For example, Project Sirius, which is primarily being developed by The Molasses Flood and will combine single and multiplayer elements.

Of course, we already have an overview of all upcoming games from CD Projekt Red – from The Witcher to Cyberpunk – ready for you. Just take a look at the following list to find out more about what the studio is currently working on or will soon be working on!

Will Project Sirius be a Witcher division?

Concrete information about Project Sirius is almost non-existent at the moment. For example, we don’t even know when the upcoming Witcher role-playing game will be released. However, some fans have now drawn attention via (Reddit) to job postings at CD Projekt Red, which give new clues and allow for some speculation.

These job offers paint a somewhat clearer picture as far as the multiplayer elements of Project Sirius are concerned – a few commenters under the Reddit discussion even hope for some kind of Witcher division based on this. Shall be called: a game set in the universe of Geralt, Ciri, Yennefer and co. in which several players go monster hunting at the same time in the role of different sorcerers.

The job descriptions suggest that Sirius will focus on co-op, PvE, a class system, several game modes and social activities at the same time. At the same time, there is talk of procedurally generated game elements as well. But it is not only developers with experience in these areas who are sought after, non-linear as well as cineastic storytelling with dubbed dialogues are also relevant at Project Sirius according to the job offers.

Previous games of the studio: By the way, before Project Sirius, the studio The Molasses Flood released the games The Flame in the Flood and Drake Hollow: In both titles, crafting, exploration and sometimes even survival elements play an important role – in Drake Hollow, online co-op is also available to players.

In view of this, it would make perfect sense for The Molasses Flood to build on these experiences and develop a Witcher game with similar gameplay elements. However, it will definitely be a few years before we get any solid information about Project Sirius. The next Witcher role-playing game, Project Polaris, will not be released until 2025 at the earliest, and a remake of the first part of the series is also coming.

By the way, Witcher expert Steffi has already thought about Project Sirius and what is behind the statement that Sirius should not appeal to hardcore role-players.
