PlayStation has today released the launch trailer for Horizon Call of the Mountain. In it, we see the protagonist battle various machines and reach new heights.

In five days, Horizon Call of the Mountain will be available along with PlayStation VR2. The highly anticipated spin-off of the series not only presents itself in full visual power and beauty in the trailer. It also has some action-packed gameplay scenes in store for us.

As we have already reported, in Horizon Call of the Mountain you do not play the heroine Aloy. Instead, you take on the role of the former Shadow Carja Ryas, who must face a dangerous task to restore his honour. As the trailer shows, you will not only spend the approximately six-hour game time fighting against dangerous machines. Climbing also takes up a large part of the gameplay.

Some may enjoy this. Others may find that this gameplay mechanic, combined with the short playtime and hefty price tag of 70 Euros, is a bit too much of a focus.

However, if you”re big fans of the series and are keen to give PlayStation VR2 a try, it”s definitely worth checking out the new VR system. Horizon Call of the Mountain will be available separately or bundled with the new system from 22 February. For more info and gameplay footage, check out the overview.
