Ubisoft surprisingly announces a game based on James Cameron’s hit film “Avatar – Departure to Pandora” at this year’s games trade fair E3. Find out when and for which platforms the title is coming here.

The game announcement “Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora” surprised the gaming scene last Saturday. The game by Ubisoft is set in the universe of James Cameron’s blockbuster “Avatar – Departure to Pandora”. With box office takings of 2.8 billion US dollars, the 2009 science fiction film is considered the most successful film of all time. “Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora” is to be released in 2022 and, as a cross-platformer, will let players experience their own adventures on Pandora.

In it, players will take a journey to the “Western Frontier” as Na’vi. The developer has not yet revealed what exactly will happen on Pandora.

“Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora” should be interesting for both console and PC gamers, as the title will be released for these current platforms in 2022. On the console side, however, only the Xbox Series X
