But if you don t want to wait any longer and already want to hand out roundhouse kicks in the role of Leon S. Kennedy, now is the perfect opportunity to do so: With the so-called Chainsaw Demo you can play the Resident Evil 4 remake even before release.

The Resident Evil 4 Remake Demo is available since last night and playable until the final release of the game. So the specific dates are as follows:

  • Playable until: on 24 March 2023

No time limit: Unlike previous trial versions of the Resident Evil series, there is no time limit on the Chainsaw Demo. This means you can try your hand at it as often and as long as you want.

Content: What kind of content does the demo offer?

The content of the Resident Evil 4 Remake Demo is limited to the first 20 minutes of the game So we see the opening cutscene and join Leon S. Kennedy as he heads to a sprawling village somewhere in Spain in search of the president’s daughter, Ashley Graham. This leads to the iconic battle in the village square, where Leon takes on Los Ganados and also the chainsaw-wielding Dr. Salvador.

The Resident Evil 4 Remake will be released on March 24, 2023 for PC, Playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Playstation 4. While the remake will be fairly faithful to the original in the manner of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, there are also a few significant changes.
