On 14 April 2008, the very first Farming Simulator on PC saw the light of day – the starting signal for a new franchise that continuously developed into a global brand. GIANTS Software shows numerous remarkable milestones with the Anniversary Trailer:

From cooperative multiplayer in Farming Simulator 2011 and the introduction of a mobile variant with the 2012 edition, followed by console versions in 2013, then the creation of an official e-sports league in2019 and finally cross-platform multiplayer in Farming Simulator 22.

We would like to thank all the fans who have accompanied us over the years. Especially those who have been with us from the beginning and all the talented, dedicated fans who have created an almost unmanageable amount of user-generated content. Together with all the fans and our partners, we will make Farming Simulator even better in the future

– Christian Ammann, CEO of GIANTS Software

GIANTS Software’s close contact with the agricultural industry and related companies from the very beginning has enabled more than 150 official brands to find their way into the game. In addition, GIANTS Software relies on and supports the fact that the community modded diligently. As the company now announces, 2.5 billion mods have already been downloaded in the course of the series and on various platforms. The company’s commitment to user-generated content is also reflected in the fact that its internal QA department not only curates submitted mods, but actively tests them and provides official mod tools and tutorials.

The next instalment in the series is Farming Simulator 23, available from 23 May 2023, and the boxed version of the Nintendo Switch Edition is already available to pre-order from selected retailers.
