An auction for an M4 in CS:GO is currently making a splash, bringing one skin collector his second windfall in just one week

ZipelCS has been one of the most famous CS:GO skin collectors for a long time now and is always talking about his record-breaking skin trades. Now an auction makes high waves, which has meanwhile degenerated into a real bidding war.

Good Week

On April 16, zipelCS closed the second largest skin deal in CS:GO history and collected almost half a million euros for an AK-47 including four stickers and a Karambit knife.

The AK sold by zipelCS is one of the most expensive ever sold over the digital counter and will probably remain so for the foreseeable future.

Just three days later, the Dane already has his sights set on the next deal. This time it’s an auction for an M4 StatTrak Howl that has already reached over €200,000.

The high price for this skin is not unusual, as it is only available in the game in extremely limited quantities. After its introduction in 2014, accusations of plagiarism quickly arose. The skin was then marked as “contraband” by Valve and could no longer be pulled from crates. However, users who already had the skin in their inventory were allowed to keep it.

Besides the extremely rare M4, another highlight is what’s on it. No less than four iBUYPOWER stickers are stuck on the assault rifle with StatTrak property, each of which has an approximate value of €60,000.

The auction ends on April 21 at 4pm our time and will almost certainly continue to rise until then. As zipelCS writes in his tweet, bids may only be placed in increments of thousands. So the skin trader is obviously not satisfied with peanuts.

It must have been a good week for the 28-year-old after the auction closed. First the AK-47 for just under half a million euros and now an M4 Howl changing hands for at least €200,000.
