With Destiny 2’s Keeper Games event, Bungie is once again raising money for charity with the support of the community. The friendly competition is scheduled to last for three weeks and will have various rewards in store for you.
The Guardian Games have returned to Destiny 2, letting you collect for charity as you play. Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans will once again compete to show which class has what it takes to win. From May 2 through May 23 participants can earn medallions for activities throughout the game. This includes a class-based version of the popular PvP mode Domination.
Also available for free are the Legendary Strand Scout Rifle Taraxippos and the Empty Machine Gun The Title and the Guardian Games Event Card
Rewards for the best
While last year only select teams were allowed to participate in the Keeper Games, this year Bungie is inviting all Community members of Destiny 2. Together you can sometimes achieve more.
Those who want to participate with their own squad will compete in the categories Charity and Technology this year. While Technique records the total number of medals, Charity records the total amount raised through the Bungie Foundation’s official team registration page.
The top four teams in each category will be rewarded with various prizes. These include, but are not limited to:
- For the best team in the category “Technique”: individual design of your squad by PherianArt
- For the best team in the category “Charity”: individual design of your task force by Gammatrap
- For the two best teams in the categories “Technique” and “Charity”: Keeper Games trailer (prize: 200 $)
- For the top three teams in the “Technique” and “Charity” categories: badge: Apricot Dawn
- For the top four teams in the “Technical” and “Charity” categories: Bungie Store discount codes
All participants will also receive the Quantum Relay badge for donations of $25 or more. Bungie is working closely with the Bungie Foundation to send the donations raised this year to Direct Relief and the International Rescue Committee in equal parts for a truly global impact. While Destiny 2 is doing incredible things on a large scale with the Guardian games, German streamers are also doing similar things on a smaller scale. For more info on the Guardian games, check out official blogpost
