Traditionally, a skin series is dedicated to the League of Legends – World Champions every year. In 2022, DRX took the title and got to decide which champions they wanted to pay tribute to
Every year, the reigning League of Legends World Champion gets to help design a skin series. In 2022, the Korean team DRX won the Worlds. Accordingly, the players were each allowed to choose a champion to whom they would like to dedicate a skin. For the first time, there is even a brand new Prestige Edition among the Worlds skins!

DRX has made his choice and picked a total of 6 champions to be equipped with a brand new Worlds skin:

For those who are now wondering why DRX”s support player BeryL chose Ashe – The support meta was a bit out of the ordinary during the tournament.
DRX Worlds 2022 Skins – This is what the skins look like
The DRX skins are in matching blue, and the backport animations have traditionally been customised with the signature of each star player.
Little fun fact on the side: BeryL (Support) is a big fan of Gacha games and especially Honkai 3rd Impact, the spiritual predecessor of the currently new Honkai: Star Rail.
Honkai 3rd appealed to the Korean so much that his Ashe skin should also be a homage to Elysia, a character of the game. He already announced this in an interview at the end of last year:

DRX Worlds 2022 Skins – Prestige Skin for Aatrox
But because six skins aren”t enough, Kingen (DRX”s top laner during Worlds 2022) gets another very special award.
Since Kingen was crowned MVP in the final of Worlds 2022, he will also receive a prestige edition in addition to the normal Aatrox skin.

The skins are expected to be released as part of the patch on 24 May. However, it is possible that the release of skins may be delayed by one or two days from time to time. DRX fans won”t have to wait too much longer, though.
