Favourite beats underdog in final CS:GO major in front of home crowd

The Blast Major in Paris was the last one in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. In the end, the favourite won ahead of the underdog Gamerlegion.

The Accor Arena in Paris has become the stage for one last play. In front of more than 15,000 spectators, Team Vitality and two French players secured victory in the last ever CS:GO Major.

In the final, the quintet of apEX, ZywOo, dupreeh, Magisk and Spinx beat the underdog Gamerlegion. The team did not give up a single map in the entire tournament. The final was also 2:0.

No German in the final

Gamerlegion wasn”t even seeded in the top-20 before the tournament began. The team beat Mousesports with German gamer JDC, among others, on their way to the final. Of the prize pool of 1.2 million US dollars, around 175,000 will now go to the organisation from Berlin, while Vitality will take home 500,000 as the winner.
