Since 2004, fans of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines have been eagerly awaiting a sequel. The new game VtM Justice, however, will be a VR adventure.

At the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase in early June, fans of the popular vampire franchise could take notice. Fast Travel Games is developing a new game from the Masquerade universe! However, this is not a sequel to the popular classic Bloodlines, but a new VR game for the Facebook company”s in-house glasses as well as for Playstation VR2.

The upcoming part of the series entitled Justice takes you to the Italian lagoon city of Venice. But instead of romantic gondola rides, Justice is all about bloodsucking.

Main character Justice, a vampire from the Banu Haqim clan, has to track down the nasty Hecata in the game. They have not only stolen an ancient relic from the Banu Haqim, but also murdered Justice”s father. This, of course, cries out for revenge.

What”s the gameplay like?

According to the developer, the battles of the adventure game consist primarily of a mixture of sneaking, casting spells with blood magic and shooting from the hidden crossbow. In addition, you can expect numerous puzzles The abilities of your own vampire are to be expandable in three separate skilltrees one each for sneaking, fighting and endurance.

In addition to the main story, you can expect numerous side quests and a “unique dialogue system”, according to the announcement. Justice also wants to keep you happy outside of the missions: The gloomy Venice with its “winding alleys, canals, forgotten catacombs and magnificent palaces” will invite you to explore. Virtual sightseeing, so to speak. Fast Travel Games founder Erik Odeldahl emphasises:

Justice allows players to experience the enticing world of Vampire: The Masquerade like never before, thanks to the power of virtual reality.

For fans of series veteran Bloodlines, however, the game is unlikely to be a full replacement for the upcoming sequel Bloodlines 2. Its release has been delayed again and again. There is still no new release date. Perhaps Justice can at least be a small consolation here. It is supposed to be released at the end of 2023.

What do you think: Can a VR game from the Vampire: The Masquerade universe shorten the wait for Bloodlines 2? Or will you hold out until it does come out at some point? Feel free to write us in the comments.
