New gameplay from Black Myth: Wukong is generating a lot of interest in the upcoming action role-playing game. The Unreal Engine 5 graphics gem is storming Steam wishlists.
Black Myth: Wukong will be showing off new stuff at gamescom and it’s generating a lot of interest. After all, a good indicator of the popularity of a title not yet released on PC is its placement on the Steam wish lists of the millions of users of the market-dominating Valve service. The action role-playing game about the magically gifted monkey boy has recently been ranked in the top-50, more precisely at number 41, (as the Steam database reveals)
One reason for this is the already released video of our colleagues from IGN. The gameplay gives you a first glimpse of the version that will be playable at the fair in Cologne.
What exactly does the new gameplay show?
We summarise for you the most important points you can expect from the new video footage:
- The graphics! Do we need to say anything more about it? Black Myth: Wukong knew how to impress with its graphic splendour and art design from the very first announcement. The current version of the game, which now runs on the Unreal Engine 5, goes one better.
- Numerous battles in different settings against impressively designed boss opponents, during which the system of the three different fighting stances is also shown.
- You can see several spells in action that the hero casts to fight off the sometimes scary enemies in battle.
- Two transformation abilities, one the wolf wielding fire magic and then a creature that relies on poison attacks.
- Meanwhile, IGN’s colleague describes in detail his impressions of the gameplay and how the melee system, built around all aspects of the battle staff, feels. He is very fond of it, as it stands out significantly from titles like Elden Ring or Dark Souls.
However, we will have to be patient for a while yet: Black Myth: Wukong is not due to be released until the summer of next year.
But as far as we know, visitors to gamescom will be able to play the title for themselves.
